Moscow to Support Tourism at New North Korean Resort
Moscow will help increase tourist flows to North Korea’s new large-scale resort in Wonsan Kalma, located on the country’s eastern coast and inaugurated last month by leader Kim Jong-un.
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting with his North Korean counterpart Choe Son Hui, CE Report quotes ANSA.
“I’m sure Russian tourists will increasingly want to come here,” Lavrov said.
“We will contribute in every possible way by creating the necessary conditions, including flights,” he added.
The Wonsan tourist zone is capable of accommodating around 20,000 visitors and is the first of several large-scale facilities expected to be built, according to the state-run KCNA agency.
