After passing the bay of Porto Palermo, the village of Qeparo, located 13 kilometers south of Himara (Albania), has in recent years become one of the most popular destinations for both local and foreign tourists.

For anyone choosing to vacation along the southern coast, the connecting infrastructure between villages along the Riviera not only ensures easy access but also offers spectacular views between the crystal blue of the Ionian Sea and the green hills, CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social media scenes from the coastal road landscape of Qeparo, a jewel of the Albanian Riviera.

Qeparo is considered one of the oldest villages on the Albanian coast and offers evidence of the life and culture of local residents through the centuries.

Divided between an ancient village perched on a hilltop and a newer seaside settlement, Qeparo provides an ideal tourist destination for visitors.

The upper village preserves traditional stone houses and olive groves, where families have lived for generations. The historical center includes several declared cultural monuments, among them traditional homes and religious buildings.

Meanwhile, the lower part offers beach access with a new promenade that runs along the entire coastline, giving Qeparo the features of a typical Mediterranean tourist village, where the area’s characteristics and traditions have been preserved.
