Albania Named Top Destination for Americans Living Abroad

Albania ranks among the five most welcoming European destinations for American citizens not only for tourism, but also for living, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Cepee Tabibian, an expert on moving abroad, in her article published on the official website of the American television CNBC, ranked Albania between Spain, Portugal, France and the Netherlands.

According to her, this selection is based on several criteria, starting from suitable visas for travel, low cost of living and an open social climate, ATSH reports.

The American expert emphasizes that the presence of foreign communities and knowledge of the English language also help facilitate easier integration for American citizens, factors that make these European destinations ideal for a new start outside the US.

If you want to make starting over seem less difficult, look for countries that meet most of these criteria, she adds, mentioning 5 European countries, including Albania.

“Albania allows American citizens to stay for up to a year without a visa. With easy entry and a low cost of living, it is perfect for remote workers on a budget. Many Americans live in Tirana, where the expat community is strong and English is widely spoken. But the Albanian Riviera should not be overlooked; its coastline along the Ionian Sea has some of the most beautiful beaches and scenery in all of Europe. Many Americans use Albania as a jumping-off point, staying from one to four years before moving on to their next destination,” the article published on American television states.
