Liverpool open talks to sign PSG wonderkid Ibrahim Mbaye

Liverpool have begun negotiations to sign Paris Saint-Germain youngster Ibrahim Mbaye as the club continues to strengthen its attacking options ahead of the new season.

The Premier League side is aiming to complete a double deal with the European champions by signing both Bradley Barcola and Mbaye, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Reports indicate that the 18-year-old right winger has given the green light to a move to Anfield, with Liverpool and PSG expected to begin formal negotiations to finalize the transfer.

Mbaye made his first-team debut for PSG in August 2024 and later became the youngest player to win the UEFA Super Cup at the age of 17 years, six months, and 19 days.

After initially representing France at youth level, Mbaye chose to switch his international allegiance to Senegal. He later featured at the FIFA World Cup, where he became the youngest African goalscorer in the tournament's history.

Liverpool are looking to reinforce their wide attacking positions, particularly following Mohamed Salah's departure as a free agent. At the same time, the club has high expectations for 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha, who is expected to receive increased playing time in the upcoming season.

Talks over the transfer of Bradley Barcola are continuing, although the two clubs have yet to agree on a final transfer fee. As for Mbaye, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly valuing the teenager at around £35 million.
