Kosovo's Drita in excellent form ahead Conference League clash

Drita hosts Shkëndija in a very important Conference League clash, as the second phase of the group stage enters its decisive moments.

A victory would bring both teams significantly closer to the knockout round, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Drita arrives in excellent form, with high morale after a 1–0 away win against Shelbourne. Zekirija Ramadani’s team sits in 13th place in the standings, with five points from a possible nine. The Light Blues are unbeaten in their last six home matches and aim to make history by becoming the first Kosovar club to progress past a European phase.

Shkëndija, on the other hand, has not been convincing in European away matches, with only one win in their last eight games abroad. The 2–0 loss to Rayo Vallecano put them in difficulty from the beginning, but the team then collected four points from the next two matches, including an important win against Shelbourne. However, the 3–0 defeat to Arsimi in the domestic league is an alarming sign, as the team has won only two of its last five away matches and has failed to score in three of them.

Historically, Drita has faced a Macedonian team only once, defeating Sileks 2–0 in 2020, while Shkëndija is facing a Kosovar club for the first time.

Recent statistics show that Drita usually scores one goal in Europe and that their matches often feature tension, with four red cards in their last six matches. Shkëndija, meanwhile, has weak offensive numbers, with only five shots on target during this phase.
