On the show Procesi Sportiv on Top Channel, it was revealed that Rey Manaj, a player for the Albanian national football team, is close to reaching an agreement to buy the football club Lushnja in Albania.

Manaj has started negotiations to take ownership of the team from his hometown. The show’s host said, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

“The trend of successful footballers buying clubs has now arrived in Albania. Rey Manaj is making a big step by investing in Lushnja. This is a model we need to move forward.”

Guests in the studio also agreed that Manaj is the most likely candidate for this purchase, given his strong ties to Lushnja.

This move puts Manaj in the company of famous football stars who have invested in clubs, such as David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami in the USA, and Ronaldo “Fenômeno”, owner of Real Valladolid in Spain.
