Opta supercomputer names favorite for UEFA Champions League 2025

Supercomputers from Opta have determined the favorites for the new Champions League season, with Liverpool leading the way at 20.4% chance of winning the trophy.

According to simulations run 10,000 times, Italian teams are not seen among the main contenders, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Inter is ranked with only a 3% chance, Napoli with 1.4%, while Juventus and Atalanta each have just 0.6%. Other favorites after Liverpool include Arsenal (16%), PSG as the reigning champion (12.4%), Manchester City and Barcelona with 8.4% each, while Chelsea and Real Madrid complete the list of top teams.

Despite these predictions, the pitch will ultimately decide whether Italian teams can overturn the supercomputer’s low expectations.
