NBA, FIBA to host BWB camp in Istanbul

The participants who will attend the Basketball Without Borders Next Up (BWB) men’s camp, jointly organized by the NBA and FIBA in Istanbul, have been announced.

According to a statement from the organizers, the camp will be held at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center from August 26 to 29, bringing together 78 young athletes from 44 countries, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

More than 20 current and former NBA and FIBA players, as well as coaches, will also take part in the camp. Participants include Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Kenny Atkinson, Philadelphia 76ers player Dominick Barlow, 2023 NBA champion Thomas Bryant, and NBA legend and former Yugoslavia national team player Vlade Divac.

Among the 78 athletes attending the camp are five players from Türkiye: Beşir Briant, Darius Karutasu, Rüzgar Öpçün, Demir Öztürk and Ömer Şık.
