Barcelona Focuses on Fitness Ahead of Asia Tour
Barcelona, under the leadership of coach Hansi Flick, continues preparations for the new season.
Just a few days before the start of the tournament in Asia, the German coach is focusing on the physical aspect of the team, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
This morning, a session focused exclusively on physical preparation took place at the training complex.
The players were divided into groups: one group performed strength exercises on the pitch, while the others worked in the gym.
After the morning's physical exertion, the team will have an afternoon of rest.
However, on Saturday, the players will return at a high pace, with two training sessions scheduled during the day, as part of preparations for the three friendly matches that will take place in Japan and Korea.
Despite the high tempo, not all players participated fully in Friday's session. Goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen continues individual training in the gym due to physical concerns that have been bothering him for some time.
Recent reports suggest that he may need surgery, but the club has yet to make an official statement on his situation.
Meanwhile, youngster Dani Rodríguez, 19, also trained separately from the group. The young midfielder, who made his debut last season against Valladolid, suffered a serious injury in the same match and underwent surgery. His recovery is continuing with special care.
