Slovenia claimed a first FIBA U20 EuroBasket title in 22 years after beating Serbia in the Final.

The tournament hosts gradually pulled away for a convincing 84-65 triumph to add to their previous successes of 2000 and 2004, CE Report informs via the FIBA's official website.

Vit Hrabar top scored in the win with 18 points as five players in total hit double figures for the champions.

Tournament MVP honors went to Slovenia's Mark Padjen as the guard finished with averages of 15.7 points, 5.6 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.

Urban Kroflic - who missed the Final through injury - joined his teammate Padjen in the All-Star Five, along with Serbia's Nikola Dzepina, Raul Villar from Spain, and Mohamed Diakite of France

Meanwhile, Spain secured the final spot on the podium with a 65-54 victory over France to finish third - their highest placing since winning the title in 2022.

At the FIBA U20 EuroBasket 2026, Division B tournament, Iceland, Ukraine and Sweden claimed the promotion spots.

They will replace Czechia, Belgium and Romania in Division A next summer, after those three sides were relegated following their placings in the bottom three.
