The gymnast representing Albania, Matvei Petrov, has returned to his best athletic form.

The Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) announced today that the 2020 European champion for Albania in the Pommel Horse event delivered an excellent performance at the European Championship currently taking place in Leipzig, Germany, CE Report quotes ATA.

Petrov secured qualification among the top 8 out of 107 of the best gymnasts from across Europe.

Matvei Petrov ranked 4th in a highly competitive event and will compete in the final for the title of European Champion on Friday.
