Big names headline Venice Festival

Some of the world's most acclaimed filmmakers and actors will compete at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival, with a lineup featuring major international premieres and award contenders, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Among the films selected for the main competition are Company, directed by Casey Affleck and starring Nick Nolte; Bunker, directed by Florian Zeller and featuring Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem; Primetime, directed by Lance Oppenheim and starring Robert Pattinson; Wild Horse Nine, directed by Martin McDonagh and featuring Sam Rockwell; Bucking Fastard, directed by Werner Herzog and starring sisters Kate Mara and Rooney Mara; Look Back, directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda; and Mr. Nelson, Did You Kill People?, directed by Shinya Tsukamoto.

The 83rd Venice International Film Festival will take place September 2–12, bringing together leading filmmakers from around the world as they compete for the festival's top honors, including the prestigious Golden Lion.
