Joshua vs. Prenga headlines major boxing event in Saudi Arabia
Albanian boxer Kristian Prenga is set to face one of the biggest names in world boxing, Britain's Anthony Joshua, in what is expected to be one of the year's biggest sporting events.
The bout between Prenga and the former heavyweight world champion will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, a venue that has hosted several major boxing events, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
The main card is scheduled to begin at around 7:00 p.m. Kosovo time, while the headline fight between Joshua and Prenga is expected to start at approximately 11:00 p.m., depending on the duration of the undercard bouts.
The event will be broadcast on DAZN PPV, which holds the broadcasting rights for the boxing event.
Anthony Joshua, a former WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight world champion, enters the fight after a distinguished career that has included bouts against some of the sport's biggest names, including Wladimir Klitschko, Oleksandr Usyk and Andy Ruiz Jr.
For Kristian Prenga, the fight represents the biggest opportunity of his career. The Albanian boxer has earned a reputation as an aggressive and powerful fighter, and facing Joshua will be his greatest challenge to date.
Prenga said he respects Joshua as a champion and an athlete, but insisted that once inside the ring, respect will not influence his approach.
"I respect Anthony Joshua, but inside the ring I have respect for no one in the world—not even my own father," Prenga said.
For Joshua, the bout is another chance to prove he remains one of the leading figures in the heavyweight division. For Prenga, it is a historic opportunity to establish himself on the biggest stage in world boxing.
The night in Jeddah is expected to showcase a clash between experience and ambition, as the established champion Joshua takes on the determined challenger Prenga.
