Bulgarian tennis player Viktoriya Tomova achieved her first career French Open women’s doubles victory on Wednesday, teaming up with Slovakia’s Rebecca Sramkova to defeat Americans Quinn Gleason and Katie Volynets 7-5, 6-2. They now advance to face Australia’s Maya Joint and Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova in the second round, CE Report quotes BTA

This marks Tomova’s third consecutive season in French Open doubles, following first-round exits in 2023 and 2024. In singles, Tomova fell in the first round to Veronika Kudermetova of Russia earlier in the week.
