Romania at Turin Book Fair
Romania will take part in the 37th edition of the Turin International Book Fair, held May 15–19, with a national stand highlighting contemporary Romanian literature and recent Italian-language publications in philosophy, history, and literary criticism, CE Report quotes Agerpres
Organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) through its National Book Centre and Venice office, the stand will operate under the slogan La leggerezza del leggere – The Lightness of Reading.
The programme includes book launches, discussions, and reader events featuring Romanian and Moldovan writers, translators, critics, and Italian publishers. Notable guests include Mircea Cărtărescu, Mauro Ferrari, and Fabio Pusterla.
Hosted in Pavilion 1/B10 of the Lingotto Fiere complex, the stand will also offer book sales via Libris Bookstore and a dedicated salon for Romanian literary events.
Romania’s presence aligns with ICR’s broader strategy to promote Romanian culture internationally, especially in Italy through its Venice and Rome branches.
