Crin Antonescu to Be Sole Coalition Candidate in PSD-Commissioned Poll

Romania

Crin Antonescu will be the only representative from the ruling coalition included in a poll commissioned by the Social Democratic Party (PSD), according to political sources, CE Report quotes Agerpres

The sociological survey aims to analyze political trends and gauge support for presidential candidates, including Calin Georgescu, Elena Lasconi, and Nicusor Dan. However, Antonescu stands out as the sole candidate tested from the coalition, comprising the PSD, the National Liberal Party (PNL), and the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR).

Sources also suggest that Antonescu's candidacy could be officially endorsed at a joint event held by the three coalition parties.
