Croatia attempts “color revolution” in Serbia, says President Vučić
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said in the midst of Serbia’s local election campaign that Croatia was the most direct and active of all countries in attempting a “color revolution” in Serbia, referring to the student movement demanding action against corruption and early elections.
In Aranđelovac, Vučić claimed that the top levels of Croatia and the Security and Intelligence Agency (SOA) were involved in the attempts of the “color revolution,” as the government calls the student movement, because, he said, they wanted Serbia “on its knees,” CE Report quotes FENA.
“With regard to Croatia, it participated in the color revolution in the most direct way. That includes the state leadership and SOA. They were directly involved through their media outlets and in every other way. No country participated so passionately and strongly as Croatia. They wanted Serbia on its knees,” Vučić said in response to journalists’ questions.
Vučić accused Croatia of “illegally and contrary to all international laws” protecting individuals accused of serious crimes, referring to a group of activists in Serbia accused of attempting to violently change the government and undermine the constitutional order.
“But, let me tell you, for them the greatest punishment is always a free Serbia. So we will continue to do our job with full respect for Croatia, without any hatred. But we will always defend our own and will not allow them to subjugate us the way they once did, using sometimes one method, sometimes completely different means,” Vučić added.
