Erdogan Praises UK PM for Palestine Stance

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday congratulated UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer for his remarks supporting the recognition of a Palestinian state, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

In a phone call, the leaders discussed Türkiye–UK ties and regional issues. Erdogan stressed the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and called for stronger international action, not just expressions of concern.

He underlined the need to pressure Israel toward a ceasefire and a two-state solution, noting that Türkiye continues to send aid to Gaza and supports mediation efforts.
