President Sandu thanked Germany for its consistent support during recent crises, particularly in the energy sector, which helped ease the financial burden on citizens. She also highlighted German-backed development projects, such as water and sewage infrastructure improvements in Cahul, Calarasi, and Straseni, as well as defense sector enhancements.

Sandu praised Germany’s vital role in supporting Moldova’s EU aspirations and economic growth. As a key trade partner and source of foreign investment, Germany contributes significantly to job creation and innovation in the country.

The talks also stressed the importance of ensuring free and fair parliamentary elections, protected from external interference.
