Moldova Urges Calm on Transnistria
The Moldovan government is closely monitoring rising tensions and misinformation surrounding the Transnistrian region. Government spokesperson Daniel Voda stressed that the situation is being exploited in attempts to destabilize the country, both internally and from abroad, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
"Various actors are fueling speculation about Transnistria, often with conflicting narratives," Voda said, highlighting concerns over the region being used in destabilization efforts, particularly by the Russian Federation.
He emphasized that the government remains calm and focused on protecting citizens on both sides of the Dniester River. “Our priority remains peace, safety, and the well-being of our people,” Voda stated.
Voda also warned against provocations from Tiraspol leaders and misinformation campaigns, urging the public to rely only on official sources for updates.
