NATO Backs Türkiye in Ukraine Talks

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte on Thursday praised Türkiye’s unique diplomatic position in potential Ukraine-Russia peace talks, calling it a vital mediator with strong ties to all sides, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Speaking at the NATO foreign ministers meeting in Antalya, Rutte said, “Türkiye is seen as a serious venue” and has the right leaders to help steer negotiations toward a positive outcome.

While Ukraine has shown readiness, Rutte stressed that Türkiye’s credibility and convening power will be key in any future dialogue.

The Antalya meeting is also focusing on Ukraine, defense cooperation, and boosting NATO’s industrial capacity.
