The Moldovan Parliament has rejected a no-confidence motion against the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR), brought forward by 24 MPs from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists (BCS). The motion, discussed during today's plenary session, cited poor management, lack of action on key issues, and delays in vital infrastructure projects, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

In defense, Infrastructure Minister Vladimir Bolea presented the ministry’s achievements from 2022 to 2024. These included 495 completed projects under the European Village I program, rehabilitation of over 1,100 km of roads, and expansion of water and sewage networks that benefitted nearly 290,000 citizens.

Bolea also highlighted progress in public lighting, modernization of schools and social institutions, and ongoing regional projects expected to improve access to water and sanitation for over 40,000 households across 27 districts.

The motion ultimately failed, as a majority of MPs voted against it.
