Greek PM Mitsotakis to Attend AI Summit in Paris, Meet Macron

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will participate in the two-day Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris, starting Monday. The summit, co-chaired by India and attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will bring together world leaders, international organizations, and major tech companies to discuss AI developments, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian

Mitsotakis will also meet with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. Their discussions will cover Greek-French relations and key European and regional issues, including the Eastern Mediterranean and Syria.

Greece is actively engaging in AI advancements. The country recently formulated a national AI strategy, developed by the Committee on Artificial Intelligence led by Kostis Daskalakis. Two of its proposals are already in motion: Greece has been selected as one of seven EU nations to host an AI Factory, fostering AI application development, and it is launching an annual Forum on Ethics and Artificial Intelligence. These initiatives aim to position Greece as a key player in AI innovation and knowledge export.
