North Macedonian Culture Shines at Osaka EXPO

The National Day of the Republic of North Macedonia held at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, Japan, took place Thursday featuring a performance of Teshkoto (The Hard One), a folk dance, the colours of the Macedonian flag and authentic elements from tradition and culture, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, CE Report quotes MIA

Our country is represented at a pavilion symbolising its heritage – a country with deep history, culture and archaeological heritage, located in the heart of the Balkans, said the press release.

In his address, Minister Mucunski expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan, the city of Osaka, the citizens of Japan, and the organizers of EXPO “for the exceptional hospitality and for the creation of this platform for joint design of the future, under the motto: ‘Creating a society of the future for our lives’”.

“Mucunski said that the Macedonian pavilion symbolizes the wealth of our country — a country with a deep history and culture, with an exceptional archaeological and cultural heritage, located in the heart of the Balkans. A country that is recognized as the ‘pearl of the Balkans’, thanks to its natural beauty, tradition, and rich cultural treasure trove. Values that make the country an attractive tourist destination and a true pearl of the Balkans. He also touched upon investment opportunities, the development of bilateral relations with Japan, the continuous support that our country receives from Japanese partners, as well as the potential for further strengthening political and economic cooperation between the two countries,” said the press release.
