Sandu Visits Germany, Receives Democracy Award

President Maia Sandu is paying a working visit to Germany, including the regions of Bavaria, Baden-Württemberg, and Hesse, from June 20 to 22, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

During the trip, she will meet with top local officials such as Markus Söder, Minister-President of Bavaria, and Winfried Kretschmann, Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg. Talks will focus on deepening bilateral relations, boosting economic cooperation, and advancing Moldova's European integration.

President Sandu will also receive the Franz Josef Strauß Award from the Hanns-Seidel Foundation for her efforts to uphold democracy in Moldova. The €10,000 prize will be donated to help preserve the musical heritage of composer Eugen Doga.

In addition, she will meet with Moldovan diaspora members in Frankfurt, Munich, and Stuttgart.
