PSG president stranded in Doha amid Middle East conflict
The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, is currently stranded in Doha due to the war in the Middle East and could miss the team’s match against Chelsea FC in the UEFA Champions League, according to the French daily L'Equipe, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.
Al-Khelaifi was unable to attend the Paris team’s training session on Tuesday morning held at the PSG Campus, on the eve of the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 match scheduled for Wednesday at 22:00.
The Qatari businessman remains in Doha, where his country Qatar is facing air attacks from Iran as part of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
As a result, he could miss the match against Chelsea — something that would be a rarity for the PSG president.
