Sandu Calls for Productivity Boost
President Maia Sandu addressed the General Assembly of the European Business Association (EBA) today, thanking the 250-member business community for supporting Moldova’s economic growth and European integration efforts, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
Speaking to entrepreneurs, investors, and sector leaders, Sandu highlighted the need to boost labor productivity as a key national priority. She stressed that European integration offers Moldova essential tools—access to funding, support programs, and skill development initiatives—to help businesses become more competitive.
“We want more competitive products and services capable of keeping up with the European market. This depends on how agile, creative, and resilient we are,” said Sandu.
The EBA, founded by top investors under the EU Delegation in Chisinau, now includes over 80 companies across major industries. It actively contributes to economic reform through expertise in areas like taxation, digitalization, and infrastructure.
