Moldova wins four medals at European Para Powerlifting Championships

Athlete Victoria Rotaru won the gold medal in the junior 45 kg category at the European Para Powerlifting Championships in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The national team returned home with four medals and a historic podium finish in the team competition, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

Victoria Rotaru achieved the best result for the Moldovan delegation, winning the junior 45 kg category and standing on the top step of the continental podium.

Mihail Blănaru secured a silver medal in the under-49 kg category in the U-20 competition.

Two bronze medals were also won by Denis Raiul in the total lift event, and Elșan Huseinov in the best lift event.

For the first time in history, Moldova was also represented in the team competition at the European Championships, finishing in third place.

In Tbilisi, the Moldovan delegation consisted of 12 athletes, and their participation was made possible with financial support from the Ministry of Education and Research.
