Moldova claims another medal at European U23 Wrestling Championships
Freestyle wrestler Mihaela Samoil of Moldova won the bronze medal at the European U23 Wrestling Championships.
In the bronze medal match in the 55 kg weight category, the athlete defeated Bulgarian wrestler Nesrin Sebaydinova Siuleimanova with a 10–0 score, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
On her way to the bronze medal bout, Samoil defeated Albina Rilla of Ukraine and Alexandra Voiculescu of Romania.
At the previous edition of the European U23 Wrestling Championships, Samoil finished as the European runner-up.
This is the third medal won so far by Moldova’s freestyle wrestlers at the championship in Zrenjanin, Serbia, following the gold medal won by Alexandr Gaidarli and the bronze medal won by Alexandru Borș.
