However, the glamorous red carpet atmosphere became tense after reports of gunfire near the hotel where the ceremony was being held, causing panic and uncertainty among attendees. As a result, organizers were forced to take action, and the event is expected to be rescheduled.

Amid the dramatic developments, Bleona Qereti shared a moment from the evening on Instagram, appearing elegant on the red carpet. Alongside the photo, she wrote:

“Power, politics, and precise tailoring. Last night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner (now to be rescheduled),”

hinting at the unexpected situation that unfolded.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump responded during a press conference, stating that he believes the incident was carried out by a “lone wolf”, ruling out for now the possibility of a larger coordinated attack.
