Laura Pausini earns new Latin Grammy nomination
Laura Pausini has received another Latin Grammy nomination.
The awards ceremony, now in its 27th edition, will take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on November 12, 2026, CE Report quotes ANSA.
Pausini has been nominated in the Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album category for the Spanish-language version of her latest covers album, “Io Canto 2,” released as “Yo Canto 2.”
The latest achievement comes three years after the Latin Recording Academy named Pausini its Person of the Year.
The Italian singer has won five Latin Grammys, one Grammy Award and one Golden Globe, and has also received an Academy Award nomination, alongside numerous other honors throughout her career.
Pausini released her latest covers album in March 2026 as a tribute to singer-songwriters, performers and composers who have shaped the history of Italian music.
The Spanish-language version also features songs by some of the most prominent artists and songwriters from across the Spanish-speaking world, representing countries where Pausini has established herself as a major musical figure, including Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Peru.
The album includes interpretations of songs associated with artists including Mecano (“Hijo de la Luna”), Gloria Estefan (“Oye Mi Canto”), Juan Luis Guerra (“Bachata Rosa”), Alejandro Sanz (“Cuando Nadie Me Ve”), Shakira (“Antología”), Ricky Martin (“Livin’ La Vida Loca”), Madonna (“La Isla Bonita”), Fito Páez (“Mariposa Tecknicolor”), Natalia Lafourcade (“Hasta La Raíz”), Pablo López (“El Patio”) and Joan Sebastian (“Eso y Más”).
Following the release of her latest single, a cover of Raf’s “Siamo soli nell’immenso vuoto che c’è,” Pausini is preparing to launch the European leg of her World Tour 2026/2027.
The tour, her 11th worldwide, has already sold 450,000 tickets globally. Beginning on October 1, 2026, it will take Pausini to arenas in major European cities and is scheduled to continue through the end of 2027.
