Hayden Panettiere death under investigation over suspected fentanyl-laced pill

Actress Hayden Panettiere, who reportedly died at the age of 36, is believed to have taken a potentially fatal pill on the day of her death, with multiple law enforcement sources saying investigators suspect it was oxycodone laced with fentanyl, according to TMZ.

Sources with direct knowledge of the investigation told TMZ that Panettiere had allegedly obtained prescription drugs on the black market from a longtime dealer in Los Angeles, including oxycodone, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

According to the report, the actress took some of the drugs she had purchased from the dealer while flying from Los Angeles to South Carolina, one day before her death.

Authorities believe Panettiere took an oxycodone pill on the morning of her death and suspect the tablet may have been laced with fentanyl.

The US Drug Enforcement Administration in Los Angeles is reportedly investigating the alleged connection between Panettiere and the dealer and is attempting to trace the suspected fatal pill back to its source.

However, toxicology results have not yet been released and are expected to be crucial in determining the cause of death.

According to TMZ’s sources, investigators are currently working on the theory that an oxycodone pill laced with fentanyl may have caused Panettiere’s death.
