Actress Pamela Anderson will receive a lifetime achievement award at the Turin International Film Festival, where she will present a special screening of Gia Coppola's film The Last Showgirl, Variety reported on Thursday.

At this year's Turin International Film Festival, a major event dedicated to emerging filmmakers and independent cinema, organized by Italy's National Museum of Cinema, Pamela Anderson will take part in an on-stage conversation ahead of the screening of The Last Showgirl (2024), CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

Her performance in the film earned her a 2025 Golden Globe nomination and marked a major comeback for the former star of the television series Baywatch.

"Films can sometimes work miracles, such as allowing us to meet for the first time someone we feel we have known all our lives," Giulio Base, artistic director of the Turin Film Festival, said in a statement.

"With The Last Showgirl, Pamela Anderson gave us precisely this experience. We thought we knew everything about her, but in this film, every gesture revealed a sensitivity as an actress that is both moving and surprising," Base added.

Anderson will receive the Stella della Mole award. Previous recipients include Spike Lee, Antonio Banderas, Angelina Jolie and Sharon Stone.

Following The Last Showgirl, Anderson starred alongside Liam Neeson in Paramount's new version of The Naked Gun and in Karim Aïnouz's family satire Rosebush Pruning, which premiered in Berlin. The film also features Riley Keough, Callum Turner, Elle Fanning, Jamie Bell, Lucas Gage and Tracy Letts.

In September, Anderson also attended the Venice Film Festival with Kornél Mundruczó's road movie Place to Be, in which she stars alongside Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi and Murray Bartlett.

The actress has also recently completed filming several upcoming projects, including Brian Klugman's Somedays, starring Billy Bob Thornton; Love Is Not the Answer, the directorial debut of Michael Cera, an absurdist comedy in which she appears alongside Steve Coogan and Jamie Dornan; and Sally Potter's Alma, co-starring Richard E. Grant.

The 44th edition of the Turin International Film Festival will take place from November 24 to December 2.
