Evita revival starring Rachel Zegler set for Broadway debut in 2027

The revival of the musical Evita, directed and produced by the multiple Olivier Award-winning Jamie Lloyd, starring Rachel Zegler in the role of Eva Perón, will move to Broadway in spring 2027, according to the producers.

The Shubert Organization will host the award-winning production of the legendary musical by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber in a theatre to be announced soon, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

The production is a collaboration between The Jamie Lloyd Company and Michael Harrison through Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals, in association with LW Entertainment.

“I am thrilled to see Jamie Lloyd’s extraordinary production of Evita transfer to Broadway. It is exciting to see Tim’s and my work reimagined in new ways, while the show features a once-in-a-generation talent in Rachel Zegler,” Andrew Lloyd Webber said.

“I look forward to American audiences experiencing a production that conquered the West End,” he added.
