Luxor Museum wins top Egyptian award
The Luxor Museum has won first prize in Egypt’s 2026 competition for best museum practices, receiving the Shield of Excellence for best museum practices in inclusivity and accessibility.
The award was presented by the Egyptian National Committee for Museums at the International Council of Museums during the International Museum Day, CE Report quotes ANSA.
According to the evaluation committee, the museum’s collections and narratives are effectively presented to a diverse audience, and strong accessibility measures are in place across the galleries, visitor services, and museum infrastructure.
