Moldova, Poland boost cooperation in memory culture
Strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of memory culture was at the center of an official visit carried out from April 21–24, 2026, to the Republic of Poland by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Corneliu Cirimpei, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the visit included meetings with representatives of relevant institutions and Polish public administration, focusing on adopting best practices and developing institutional cooperation.
In this context, the Moldovan official held discussions with Urszula Ślązak, Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, with Marcin Komosa, Deputy Director of the Cultural Heritage Department, as well as with Marcin Napiórkowski, Director of the Museum of the History of Poland.
The discussions focused on ways in which Polish experience and expertise could support the promotion and development of memory culture in the Republic of Moldova, including through exchanges of best practices and joint initiatives.
The visit also provided a framework for exchanging experience on the management of museum institutions, particularly those integrating historical memory into exhibition concepts. Models of museum organization and functioning were analyzed, along with approaches to developing exhibition, educational, and cultural activities.
