Bulgaria announces Community Centre of Year 2025

The Community Centre of the Year 2025 award was presented in Sevlievo, Bulgaria. The distinction was conferred on the Razvitie–1870 Community Centre in Sevlievo, chaired by Danail Lalev, with Desislava Dimitrova serving as secretary, CE Report quotes BTA.

The event was attended by MP Bogomil Petkov, Sevlievo Mayor Ivan Ivanov, Sevlievo Municipal Council Chair Yavor Pamukchiev, Bulgarian News Agency Director General Kiril Valchev, Prof. Ventsislav Velev, a member of the Management Board of the Global Libraries – Bulgaria Foundation, as well as cultural figures, community centre activists, university rectors and public figures.

Earlier in the day, the National Representative Committee was announced, which will assist in marking the 170th anniversary of the community centre movement in Bulgaria.
