Filming has started on the thriller Eternal Echo in the Slavonian town of Čeminac (Croatia).

Directed by Boris Wolffgardt and produced by Vjekoslav Katušin, the film is set to premiere later this year, CE Report quotes HINA.

The story follows two paranormal investigators who arrive at an isolated villa in the woods, only to become trapped in a time loop where each night ends in a violent death and each day resets as though nothing happened. Locations across Baranja provide an eerie backdrop for the suspenseful narrative.

The cast is led by Costas Mandylor (Saw series), alongside BAFTA-winning Rebecca Hanser (The Witcher), Chris Moss, and young actor Emin Račić. Producer Katušin also appears in one of the roles.

Wolffgardt says the film explores the boundaries of reality and human psychology, with mysterious messages in mirrors revealing the story of a forgotten boy whose past holds the key to escaping the loop. He describes it as an “intense and atmospheric film where nothing is as it seems.”

Katušin highlights that the project further establishes Slavonia and Baranja as an emerging film destination, attracting top industry professionals. His production company, Dream Team Pictures, has previously filmed international projects in the region, including Wrongful Death and Wrongful Death 2: Bloodlines (Eric Roberts, Michael Paré), Order of the Dragon (Steven Seagal), and A Man Worth Killing (Robert Miano), all slated for release this year.
