“Moldova-Concert” is celebrating three decades of activity with a large-scale anniversary musical show that will bring together more than 200 artists on the same stage.

The country’s most renowned orchestras, ensembles, and performers will thus celebrate an institution that has become a pillar of cultural life in the Republic of Moldova, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

The anniversary event brings together prestigious artistic collectives that represent the diversity and value of the national cultural heritage, reaffirming the essential role Moldova-Concert plays in promoting culture both in the capital and across the regions.

Taking the stage will be some of the country’s most prestigious artistic ensembles, including the National Folk Music Orchestra “Lăutarii,” under the baton of artistic director and conductor Corneliu Botgros; the folk music orchestra “Mugurel,” led by artistic director and chief conductor Ion Dascăl; and the folk song and dance ensemble “Fluieraș,” artistically coordinated by Edgar Ștefăneț, with choreography by Iurie Bivol.

The audience will also enjoy performances by the bands “Noroc,” under the artistic direction of Radu Dolgan, and “Millenium,” with Vlad Gorgos as artistic director. The program will be completed by multiethnic ensembles: the Gagauz folk song and dance ensemble “Kadînja,” led by Maria Cîssa, and the Bulgarian folk song and dance ensemble “Rodoliubie,” artistically coordinated by Nina Avtutova.

Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan highlighted the importance of Moldova-Concert’s work over the years, noting the institution’s contribution to organizing daily concerts as well as major national cultural campaigns.

“Moldova-Concert helps us greatly through projects that take culture from Chișinău to the entire country. The ‘Come Home for Christmas’ campaigns and the Mărțișor concerts mean dozens of performances every year, organized with the involvement of this institution. Moldova-Concert fully deserves its name, because it covers cultural activities in all regions,” the minister said.

As reported by CE Report, based at the “Nicolae Sulac” National Palace, Moldova-Concert is a state institution of national importance that brings together more than 200 established artists. They work across a wide variety of musical genres at a high artistic level, within landmark collectives such as the orchestras “Lăutarii,” “Mugurel,” and “Fluieraș,” the bands “Noroc” and “Millenium,” alongside numerous artists who are part of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova.

The institution also has two multiethnic branches: in Taraclia, home to the song and dance ensemble “Radoliubie,” and in Comrat, with the ensemble “Cadînja.” In addition, Moldova-Concert also includes the Circus and its performers, contributing to the diversity of the country’s cultural offerings.
