Leonardo DiCaprio, Paul Thomas Anderson’s latest film dominates Golden Globes

With nine nominations, the political drama One Battle After Another (Greek title: Μια Μάχη Μετά την Άλλη), the latest film by Paul Thomas Anderson starring Leonardo DiCaprio, dominated the Golden Globe nominations.

Warner Bros’ film will compete in the Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy category against Marty Supreme and Bugonia, directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, among others, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

The Norwegian drama Affeksjonsverdi (Emotional Value) took second place with eight nominations, followed by the thriller Sinners with seven nominations.

Both are also nominated for Best Motion Picture – Drama, along with performances by Guillermo del Toro in Frankenstein and Hamnet.

Actors nominated for best performances include DiCaprio and his co-stars from One Battle, Benicio del Toro, Sean Penn, Chase Infinity, and Teyana Taylor.

George Clooney and Adam Sandler received nominations for Jay Kelly, as did Dwayne Johnson for The Smashing Machine and Jessie Buckley for Hamnet.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo earned nominations for their roles in Wicked: For Good, although the second part of Universal Pictures’ The Wizard of Oz prequel failed to secure a spot in the Musical or Comedy category.
