The 51st edition of the César Awards, known as the “French Oscars,” took place in Paris.

At the ceremony, L'attachement, directed by Carine Tardieu, won the awards for Best Film and Best Editing, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

Vimala Pons received the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in the same film.

The Best Actor award went to Laurent Lafitte for his role in La femme la plus riche du monde.

Léa Drucker won Best Actress for her performance in Dossier 137.
Pierre Lottin was named Best Supporting Actor for his role in L'étranger.

Richard Linklater won Best Director for Nouvelle Vague, while the Best Original Screenplay award went to Franck Dubosc and Sarah Kaminsky for Un ours dans le Jura.

The film Nino, directed by Pauline Loques, was named Best First Film, while One Battle After Another by Paul Thomas Anderson won Best Foreign Film.

Le Chant des forêts was awarded Best Documentary, and Arco by Ugo Bienvenu won Best Animated Film.

Théodore Pellerin won the Most Promising Actor award for his role in Nino, while Nadia Melliti received the Most Promising Actress award for her performance in La Petite Dernière.

This year’s Honorary César was presented to Hollywood star Jim Carrey.
