The reimagining of The Wizard of Oz is based on the long-running Broadway musical, itself adapted from Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel. Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution opens in fourth place: the violent sorcery tale based on the anime, distributed by Gkids, earned 10.2 million dollars. In fifth place with 3.5 million dollars is Now You See Me: Now You Don’t from Lionsgate, the third installment in the franchise.
