Moldova launches search for Eurovision 2026 representative
The company "Teleradio-Moldova" (TRM) has announced the opening of the registration period for the Eurovision Moldova 2026 National Selection, the competition that will determine the artist to represent the Republic of Moldova at the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.
According to the official statement, applications can be submitted from November 7 to December 7, 2025, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
The selection process will include three stages: file evaluation, live auditions, and the National Final, where the country’s representative will be chosen.
Under the rules, the submitted songs must be original, no longer than three minutes, and must not have been made public before September 1, 2025.
All required documents and the complete competition rules are available on the official website eurovision.md.
For the first time, TRM has appointed two official producers of the competition — Serghei Orlov and Roman Burlaca — who will coordinate the selection process, song evaluation, and determination of the finalists. They will also provide artistic and logistical support to the contestants, both during the national stage and in preparation for the international contest.
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna, Austria, in May 2026. The two semifinals are scheduled for May 12 and 14, and the Grand Final will be held on May 16.
This will mark Moldova’s 20th participation in the renowned music competition. The country’s best result came in 2017, when the SunStroke Project finished third with their international hit "Hey Mamma."
