Eurovision 2026 participation of Israel under EBU review
Members of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) will vote in November on Israel’s participation in next year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, according to media reports.
Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung and the UK’s Guardian reported on Thursday that EBU members were informed about the vote in a letter from the organization’s president, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
“A vote on participation in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest will take place at an extraordinary session of the EBU General Assembly, to be held online in early November,” the EBU said in a statement to Reuters, without naming Israel.
