Zelensky honors Elon Musk with State Award

President Volodymyr Zelensky has awarded Elon Musk the Order of Freedom.

The relevant decree, No. 835/2026, was published on the website of the President of Ukraine, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

“For outstanding personal merits in protecting human life and freedom and for fostering relations between the peoples of Ukraine and the United States of America, I hereby decree to award the Order of Freedom to Elon Musk, entrepreneur, engineer and head of the companies SpaceX and Tesla, United States of America,” the document states.

As reported, in February this year, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that measures taken by his company to prevent Russia’s unauthorized use of Starlink had reportedly produced results.

Speaking to journalists, Volodymyr Zelensky also said that Ukraine continues negotiations with the U.S. side on the possibility of using the Starlink satellite system over Russian territory to support Ukraine’s defense needs.
