Italy’s most famous couple ends marriage

Italy's most-followed couple on social media — thanks in part to their lavish 2018 wedding in Sicily — no longer exists, now also from a legal standpoint, CE Report quotes ANSA.

Fedez and Chiara Ferragni are officially divorced. Sources close to the former couple confirmed today that the Milan Court has issued a joint divorce ruling.

Fedez, represented by lawyers Pompilia Rossi, Alessandro Simeone, and Andrea Pietrolucci, and Ferragni, represented by lawyer Daniela Missaglia, signed an agreement granting shared custody of their children, with almost equal visitation time. No child support or alimony is required, although Fedez will cover the children’s school and medical expenses.

The agreement was deemed appropriate by the court. Although the outcome is a sad one for fans of the rapper and the influencer, it was expected, especially after the Milan Court officially granted their separation last December.

At that time, the court also upheld the terms previously agreed upon by the spouses in a petition filed a month earlier. In December 2024, Fedez's lawyers had already hinted at this conclusion: “Within six months, the divorce will also be finalized, as explicitly requested in a single filing by the singer and the influencer, who, by reaching a full agreement quickly, have shown significant maturity and mutual consideration for the benefit of their children,” declared attorneys Rossi, Simeone, and Pietrolucci.

Ferragni's lawyer, Daniela Missaglia, added that the agreement “does not include financial support for the children — a fully legitimate arrangement that Ms. Chiara Ferragni accepted, choosing instead, with a conciliatory and sensible attitude, to reach a quick agreement in the best interest of the minors.”

Thus ends — without fights or bitterness — the most media-hyped love story of recent years. Their romance began in 2016, after first meeting at a lunch hosted by mutual friends in December 2015, and culminated with a wedding in Noto, Sicily, on September 1, 2018. The event was followed by millions online under the hashtag #TheFerragnez, which would later become the title of an Amazon Prime Video docu-reality series in 2021.

A grand era for a couple that no longer exists — but one that managed to part ways peacefully.
