The Mussel Festival returns to Ksamil (Albania) on May 30 and 31, 2025, offering an authentic Mediterranean experience that blends gastronomy with culture and entertainment on the stunning southern coast, CE Report quotes ATA.

The Minister of Tourism and Environment of Albania, Mirela Kumbaro, invited citizens to take part in the festival, emphasizing that "The Mussel Festival transforms Ksamil into a Mediterranean stage of flavors, sensations, and emotions, with the waves and the sunset as the backdrop."

"A tradition that celebrates local values and products invites us all to gather in Ksamil to welcome a summer tourist season like never before," Kumbaro highlighted.

The Mussel Festival is one of the most unique events of the tourist season in southern Albania and aims to promote the region's unique product – the mussel of Lake Butrint, renowned for its high quality and distinctive taste.

The festival began as an initiative to promote the region’s culinary culture and to encourage the development of gastronomic tourism.
