"Viktor Paunov Unveils Visual Bestiary in Sofia"

On Tuesday night, renowned Bulgarian artist Viktor Paunov opened his Bestiary exhibition at the Regional Historical Museum of Sofia, showcasing around 230 illustrations and paintings from the 1980s to today, CE Report quotes BTA

The exhibit, curated by Hristina Grozdanova, explores Paunov's fascination with animals and book illustration, bringing together decades of his work in a playful, non-chronological display. Museum director Veneta Handzhiiska-Yankulova praised Paunov as one of Bulgaria’s most beloved illustrators, highlighting the personal and cultural resonance of his art.

The Bestiary will be on display through June 1.
