The 59th edition of the Martisor International Music Festival is set to bring a vibrant lineup of concerts, exhibitions, and artist meet-and-greets throughout March. Organized by the Ministry of Culture, the festival will open on March 1 at the National Palace with an extraordinary concert titled Spring, Come Home, featuring the Symphony Orchestra of Teleradio-Moldova, conducted by Gheorghe Mustea, alongside renowned artists such as Nicolae Botgros, Vasile Iovu, Lidia Botezatu, and Radu Dolgan, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

A total of 72 cultural events will take place in Chisinau, with another 48 scheduled across Moldova. The Martisor Worldwide initiative extends the festival’s reach beyond national borders, promoting the symbol of spring and cultural renewal internationally.

Key venues in Chisinau, including the National Palace, the Organ Hall, and the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, will host numerous performances, featuring both local and international artists. “March will be an intense month full of cultural events. We want the Martisor phenomenon to be present worldwide,” said Minister of Culture Sergiu Prodan.

Festival organizers are also planning a grand finale production at the National Palace, supported by the Ministry of Culture. “Buy tickets, create memories,” encouraged Andrei Locoman, General Director of Moldova-Concert Organization.

First held in 1966 at the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, the Martisor Festival continues to be a significant celebration of spring, uniting artists and culture enthusiasts in a month-long artistic journey.
