Adriatic Health Summit 2026 brings regional healthcare, tourism sectors together

The Adriatic Health Summit 2026 was held at the Reumal Spa in Fojnica, bringing together representatives of the healthcare, tourism and business sectors, institutions and companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina and countries across the region.

Under the slogan “Be Part of the Most Important Regional Healthcare and Wellness Tourism Platform,” participants discussed the future of healthcare, wellness and beauty tourism, the development of new services, the use of modern technologies, as well as opportunities for stronger regional cooperation and attracting new investment, CE Report quotes FENA.

Among those attending the summit were Central Bosnia Canton Prime Minister Tahir Lendo, Fojnica Mayor Sabahudin Klisura, President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber of Commerce Mirsad Jašarspahić, Reumal Director Ismira Kubat, Executive Director Alija Mukača and others.

The programme opened with addresses by the organisers and guests, followed by expert presentations, presentations of current projects and innovations, and three thematic panels.

The first panel, titled “Adriatic 2030: Vision, Investment and Regional Synergy,” focused on opportunities to jointly position the Adriatic region as a recognised destination for healthcare and wellness tourism. Particular emphasis was placed on the need for stronger links between institutions, healthcare facilities, spas, the tourism sector and investors in order to create a high-quality and competitive regional offering.

The panel “Health 360° – A Holistic Approach to Health and Quality of Life” addressed the modern understanding of health, which combines medicine, prevention, mental health, nutrition, physical activity, rehabilitation and wellness, with the aim of improving quality of life through an integrated approach. Particular attention was paid to the importance of prevention, healthy lifestyles, psychological support and natural therapies in maintaining physical and mental health.

The third panel, “Code of Vitality: The Synergy of Medicine, Movement and Mind,” focused on the connection between physical health, mental balance and an active lifestyle as the foundations of longevity and vitality. Participants discussed how medicine, proper nutrition, physical activity, stress management and psychological wellbeing together contribute to disease prevention and maintaining health at all stages of life.

It was concluded that healthcare and wellness tourism represent one of the greatest development opportunities for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the wider region. Bosnia and Herzegovina has exceptional natural resources, a long spa tradition, skilled professionals and quality healthcare facilities, but stronger international expansion requires greater investment, modern infrastructure and a joint approach to foreign markets.
